Commissioning a Sculpture
The Commission Process
Welcome! Every single custom model created here is a true labor of love, built to capture your horse's exact spirit and personality. Because each piece goes through a meticulous, hands-on process—from custom 3D digital sculpting to hours of careful hand-sanding to ensure a flawless canvas before painting—I can only take on a limited number of commissions each production cycle. To give every horse the dedicated time and detail they deserve, the studio operates on an application basis with a current 4-to-6 month waitlist. If you would like to bring your horse to life as a high-end collectible, please fill out the short form below. I review every application personally, and if your project will fit in the upcoming cycle, I will reach out directly with a custom price quote and details on how we can get started!
Timeline
Each memorial sculpture is a deeply personal work of art, created to honour the life, spirit, and individuality of a beloved horse or pet. From carefully studying photographs to refining the sculpted details and building layers of hand-applied colour, every piece involves an extensive, multi-stage process. Depending on the complexity of the sculpture, the level of detail, and the finishing techniques required, a commissioned memorial may take several months to complete. This time is essential to the craftsmanship behind each piece, allowing every marking, feature, and subtle detail to be thoughtfully considered. These are not mass-produced keepsakes, but individually crafted tributes created with the intention of preserving a special bond in a tangible, lasting form.
Pricing
Each sculpture is individually commissioned and priced according to its size, complexity, level of detail, and finishing requirements. Additional options, including custom display bases and memorial, urn, buckle, or ribbon storage boxes, can be incorporated into your commission.
As every piece is created specifically for you, pricing is provided following an initial discussion of your vision and requirements. This allows each commission to be thoughtfully tailored to your wishes, whether you are seeking a lifelike, standalone sculpture of a beloved horse , or a meaningful memorial sculpture to honour a cherished companion in their favourite setting.
Due to the highly detailed, multi-stage nature of my process, completed commissions require considerable time and care. Please allow for an extended production timeline, with some memorial pieces taking several months to complete.
